How big is everyone’s baby measuring?

I’m 37+3 had an ultrasound and they measured him as being 7 pounds 10 ounces. My first born I had naturally at 40+3 and he weighted 7 pounds 9.5 ounces. I’m so scared to go that far now. Are the ultrasound weight accurate?

Last I got checked was when I was 32 weeks pregnant I go again next week but at 32 baby was measuring 4lb12oz They always told me it’s just an estimate based off what they can see. My son was supposed to be 7lbs as he was measuring but when I had him he was 6lbs0oz. It really just depends. Sometimes they’re accurate. Some times they aren’t

Mine was measured last week. She was supposed to be 34 weeks but was measuring closer to 35 weeks 4 days. She was exactly 6lbs at that time. I've since gone almost a week since then so she is probably closer to 6.5lbs now.

When my mom had my little brother years ago he was supposed to be 10lbs and ended up being 7lbs so no they are not always accurate. It is an estimate. But it is always better to be safe than sorry

@Britny I had the opposite issue. They thought my firstborn was supposed to be 8lbs. He came out 9lbs 14oz.

My first son was born at 36weeks, measuring 6lbs. Second son was measuring “big,” I can’t remember what they thought he was going to be, but he was born at 37 weeks weighing 8lbs 3oz.

From what my providers have shared, the weight estimates can be off by +/- 2lbs, so I’d take it with a grain of salt.
