Is this ok to do?

Is it ok for my newly one year old to just have a bottle a day of cows milk in the evening? I have tried the last two days of just giving my little boy breakfast as soon as he wakes up instead of a bottle of milk and he seems all ok with this. Is this ok to do or does he still need that bottle in the morning? He’s having Weetabix so is getting milk with that?

I don’t think they technically even need any milk at this age as long as they are having at least two portions of dairy (so cereal with milk, yogurts, cheese etc.) so it’s perfectly fine! We dropped the morning bottle when he started nursery and he has weetabix with milk and I just make sure he has other bits throughout the day x

@Luba thank you! He has yoghurt etc so I think it will all be ok. I’ve just really struggled to find time in the morning to get myself dressed, him dressed, give him milk and breakfast so if we could drop morning bottle would make my life so much easier! X

I was told they should have approximately 500ml of dairy a day but this can be in the form of milk, yoghurt or cheese etc ☺️ I am currently weaning my 1 year old off of her morning bottle too and plan to leave her having one evening bottle xx

We’ve been experiencing the same the last few days so have just decided to drop it. He has plenty of yoghurt and cheese in the day to balance it out 😊
