Thanks will do! He seems to have got the message with the wee at least had another good one today and he carried it there to pour it in the toilet without wanting to touch it
Mine wants to touch it too or stomp on it if it’s on the floor 🫠 I give him something to keep his hands busy. And if I give him privacy, I’ll put the potty somewhere where I can see the reflection, but he can’t see me (like the stove glass etc) and run over as soon as he stands up. We’ve gotten in the habit of pointing at it together and saying yay but keeping his hands away. And claps and high fives. As for the no pee in the morning, I’m wondering if he’s hanging out for a bit before you get him?/is there pee in his pull up? I have to get him right away to catch that first pee. Or we still nurse, so he’ll usually pee after that too. I make the potty the first time his feet touch thr ground otherwise he’ll just get to playing and not want to stop for the potty. Also I give him chances to splash in mini puddles and textures to get the need to touch that stuff out of his system. (refried beans at the high chair seems to do it 😅) Sorry this is a gross topic lol you got this mama!
@Cheyenne oh thank you such great ideas! Yeah I think it's morning nursing he nurses half asleep not very long before he actually wakes up and pees in the pullup before waking. So I think he wakes with an empty bladder most of the time unless for some reason he wakes up extra early
Just keep at it. I started off with my daughter at 2mo on potty before+after naps and going out. She would sometimes do wees but mainly poos. Their body is either not fully awake yet or they've just done it before waking or before we've taken the nappy off. My daughter did want to touch it but I said no, it's yucky. Say poo poo and wee wee go in toilet and you could tell him to say bye bye to poo poo and wee wee.
