Induction date/time accuracy

Those who have been induced and had their babies, out of curiosity did you get your call the same day and if so when? It states on the letter to be ready to leave for the hospital at 06:30 but you could be called up to 5pm that day to come in or even be pushed back days. Just wondered when everybody else went in? (Obvs it’s gonna be totally different for everyone)

It just depends on the workload/staffing on the day. They’ll try their v best not to put people off too long but sometimes you just have to push elective work back if lots of unforeseen things happen, eg spontaneous labourers, people with uncontrolled blood pressure who need 1:1 care, bleeds etc. Fingers crossed you get the call sooner rather than later, but go when you do get it so nobody pips you to the post

My trust said to call at 8am and be ready to leave for 9am. I called at 8am but they were doing the shift change so call back at 8:30, which i did and they said to come in asap they’re ready when I am. I got there for 9:30 and they said there was 3 of us in that day for induction, so it all depends on their work load x

I called at 9am and was told to come in at 2pm, had baby in my arms 11 hours later 😂

I was called at 11am to go in for 1pm

On my first baby I was called at 10am to be told they are very busy and will call me back later on that day. They then called back at 12pm to go in for 9pm 😂 x
