Refusing Formula or cows milk

Hi, my little one is 13 months now and always refuse to take formula or cow milk every time when I try to give him. In the beginning when we started on 12 months he initially like it for a week and after that he didn’t even take a sip. He only wants breast feeding and I m really struggling at the moment as I haven’t produced that much of milk. And he wakes up several times in the night just for feeding. Please help if anybody is in the same situation? Thanks!

This may sound like a silly suggestion but have you tried offering water, my little one won’t take formula or cows milk either (I’ve been putting cows milk in porridge etc to get some in him along with giving him other calcium rich foods) but in terms of liquids he’s just drinking alot of water xx

We are defo having less milk now we’ve switched over and taken bottle away in the day. We haven’t had an affect on sleep though. We did with my son though and then someone just said to me make sure you’re giving them other types of dairy also I just give some stodgy food before bed like banana and bread.

Thanks !@Emma he does drink water but not much. I’m also putting some cows milk in porridge and he is just fine with it. Do you also give him any calcium supplements?xx

That’s exactly what I do hun, yeah I mix this liquid into his water that’s baby vitamins but he’s not too keen (so fussy) if he sees me do it he won’t have a drink haha. I’m giving him whole milk in porridge/weetabix and grated cheese (he’s obsessed!) , have tried yoghurt too but he’s not keen however my mum was saying a lot of the baby yoghurts are quite sweet and to try him on plainer ones which I’m going to do! Xx

Thanks @Marie ! For me, he just wants breastfeeding every time I cuddle him. These days night time is getting harder n harder with breastfeeding. My sleep is so much interrupted and mind doesn’t work in the morning😭
