Coil experiences

I'm on my third coil and would get it again! My first was fitted when I was 16/17, hurt going in (pre kids) but then absolutely fine! Had it replaced 5 years later, that was much more comfortable! That did unfortunately fall out 1 year later, and it was a week before my wedding... Guess who got pregnant 😂 had 2 children before getting it put back in and it didn't hurt at all that time and it's still in now! Minimal-no bleeding, doesn't change my weight honestly love it! Depo was a nightmare for me! Also coil is now 8 years

I’ve had the mirena coil and really rate it!

I’ve got the copper coil and i’m thinking of switching to the marina. Periods are much heavier, longer and painful with the copper, and i get some spotting in between periods. Didn’t hurt going in and had no issues with it in that aspect but if you already have painful/ heavy periods i would not recommend the copper coil.

I had the mirena

I'm on my second coil, I've had copper coil both times. It's been brilliant for me, having it put in is just a little uncomfortable, but absolutely fine! And I don't notice I have it!!

I had the copper coil going in was awful but coming out was completely painless

I love my mirena I got pregnant immediately after I had my first one removed 🙏 it does hurt a lot when it's put in and then the next day for about a week and you bleed unpredictably for a good 8 months but then you might not get periods again for until you have it removed again which is well worth it and it can make periods much less painful/heavy Removal was quite painless I coughed and that was it
