Favorite solid combinations? Banana and avocado is a current favorite. I’m a little late to the party introducing solids.

Baby is 8 months and I plan to have her on primarily a vegetarian diet until she’s a certain age.

Sweet potato and banana. But she’s also had some non pureed foods. Mac and cheese, a little oatmeal and some meats. I don’t like the idea of making puree out of meat lol

@Khyia niether do I, puréed meat gives me the ick a little bit. I had not considered sweet potatoes and bananas! I’ll definitely add this to our menu along with the oatmeal

@Sequoia my daughter didn’t like fruit in the beginning. So I was trying different mixtures and sweet potato goes with everything. Also look at some baby food or pouches in the aisle or online. They will give you some ideas of good mixtures to try. When my son was little that’s how I got his mixtures until we stopped purées.

@Khyia both banana and sweet potato ironically go with everything! I actually did this today, I stole an idea I had seen off the box of teething wafers I seen at target🤭did you avoid seasonings in the beginning? I’m wondering if I should avoid it all together or incorporate light salts, or brown sugar for taste.

@Sequoia honestly I didn’t. We don’t use a lot of salt anyway. But I would still season it a Little. Cinnamon and a little sugar in the sweet potatoes. We try to feed them like we eat and it worked pretty well with my son he will eat almost anything.
