Becoming a single mom nanny help

Y’all I was going to explain but in short, I finally told my very toxic BD to move out. I couldn’t get an ultimatum out of my mouth but it’s supposed to be asap. I really wanted this to work for our 4 month old but he wants to put no effort in and blame me for being hard to communicate with because anything I say that he doesn’t like gets will gaslight me or project his insecurities.i only realized this because I started therapy Anyway. How does one figure out how much a nanny costs? I don’t trust a daycare with my baby and now that I know I’ll have to go back to my previous job so I can make good money for my baby I think a nanny is the only way. I don’t have family out here so I’m freaked out and don’t want to move back to my home town. Halfway across the country in a red state. Any tips on how to go about this. I’m trying to stay strong and not breakdown through this, I know it’s for the better. I’ll miss the idea of him I had but my son is my world and deserves an abuse free home.

If you’re eligible for any benefits through the county there’s Crystal Stairs, in some ways I guess you could consider it similar to having a nanny. You choose who’d you like to care for your child when you are unable to and the county pays that person so you don’t have to come out of pocket for it.

If you’ve got good caring family members, i don’t think politics plays a roll in where you should move as far as help but I suppose that’s a personal preference. If you could get a job out there I’d move. Truly takes a village. As for nanny , you can search for a nanny share. Often times families do it because it’s cheaper ! Depending what state you are and how you choose to find a qualified nanny will determine the rate you pay. For example, I live in a city where there’s TONS of people willing to babysit or nanny. Know the difference. Rates go from 28 - 40/hour. You can find someone off word of mouth/nextdoor or an agency if you can afford it. They’re heavily screened and certified. Good luck momma, you got this

Nannie’s can be really expensive in California, but I’d you’re open this is where I find affordable Nannies.. I’ll drop the link. They’re usually stay at home moms that have a kid or two and want a bit of extra income and don’t want their kids to be alone. It’s pretty great. A lot of moms tend to charge as much since it’s a side gig. They’re heavily screened and so far it’s been great.

@Sequoia looking into this! Thank you
