Hi Megan. Will you have access to a microwave? There's some great microwavable bags you can get if so. If not, as Karen said, boiling water and a milton tablet work great (I always pack a large tuppaware box to use). Have a lovely holiday! X
Milton in a bucket is great, but must be used with cold water
I took a travel kettle one that’s like a flask so it didn’t take up any room in the suitcase and tablets/fluid and a collapsible bucket (not always easy to fit in a suitcase I know) but a travel kettle and tablets/fluid (that’s if your hotel room does not already have a kettle already. Honestly I was panicking like you but I promise you it’s not as stressful as you think it would be x
My hotel room didn’t have a kettle so I just went down to the restaurant/bar and they’d fill up my bottles with boiling water and I’d just make the formula that way x
Milton tablets, 5 litre bucket, and bottle brush to clean and sterilise. Then, usually, there's a kettle in the hotel room, I use a thermos to keep the hot shot and a spare baby bottle to keep the cooled boiled water for making the bottle.
I just threw a Milton tab in the sink at night, put everything in at once. Bottles, parts, dummy.
Milton and collapsable 5l bowel which I got from Amazon xx
@Charley ooo thanks for this! I've always used with hot water but you're totally right, they're designed for cold water...even easier! Thanks!
@Jess yeah hot water breaks down the active ingredients more quickly so it doesn't stay sterile for 24 hours that's all 😊
Hey, we took a collapsible bucket with us and the Milton cold water tablets. Worked perfectly! X
I’ve done microwavable bags previously, you can use one bag 20 times. Very easy to use and small to take.
I have some microwave sterilisers for when we go on holiday
I used to take some Milton sterilising tablets and a bottle brush cleaner and use the kettle.
