Oh sorry! Didn’t see about the dishwasher! Does your steriliser need descaling? Mine gets residue all over the stuff in it when it does?

Had a similar discolouration to my pump after it was in the dishwasher with some bowls that had been used for curry. It could be remnants of food stains? As long as it smells fine it should be okay. Kinda like how tupperare can sometimes turn a different colour even if it's clean
