We was under the feeding team before the dietician seemed to wait ages after being discharged from the feeding team to see or get an appointment for the dietician! I’ll try see how long we actually waited, think the wait can be up to 16 weeks but we got seen within at least 4 xxx
It was about 6 weeks for us.. referred last September and met them in November sometime. But if you need to be referred to dietician from the feeding team, that meeting wasn’t until April! X
Can i ask what the feedingvteam do? Do they review symptoms and then refer to dietitian if they suspect?
I’m with whiston rather than alder hey but we had an urgent referral done as my little one has dropped quite a few centiles and the waits about 3 weeks for dietician and similar for consultant xx
I didn’t wait long just over a week with Alder Hey. In your initial appointment they will go through symptoms your baby has, any issues you have, they will do a check over baby, weight etc, then advice you next steps, so they prescribed my milk there and set it all up with me GP, then for a few weeks you will be under them and can email or call anytime they are such a lovely time. If you notice all is well then just carry on with what they advise until next steps. Next steps are usually to try reintroduce milk as they can’t test for CMPA it’s just a matter of reintroducing it to see if the symptoms flare up again. They will have a plan for you and your usually under then for a few weeks they then hand you over to the community dietitians who are also good to contact with concerns and they do sessions on the next steps such as the milk ladder at 1 year old xx

My lb is currently under the infant feeding team at alder hey and mine didn’t even take a week for the referral to be picked up and had my first appointment within that week, they are really helpful and lovely. Just currently waiting for the referral to the dietitian to be picked up as one starting to wean my lb and there’s not very many options baby food wise unless you do it from scratch at home xx
I can’t remember exactly how long the wait was but it weren’t long at all! Have you been referred to infant feeding team? X
