@Alix ah thank you 💕 she's only started eating food maybe two weeks ago so im trying not to put too much pressure on myself! Xx
I'm with Alix I love those Ella's kitchen pouches. Weirdly my LG hates porridge and throws that up every time so I've stopped giving it her now. But I don't think there's anything wrong with doing what works for your baby they're still getting food and it's organic! Plus the longer you try new textures the better it will get in the first 2 weeks with my LG she threw mashed stuff up too and then as time has gone on she's gotten used to it.
It’s sooo hard especially when you see people BLW or making this that and the other I beat myself up about using pouches too at first so I know exactly how you feel 💕 that being said though the pouches really aren’t ‘bad’ and soooo much easier!! My LG is coming up for 7 months and we still predominantly use pouches and I don’t feel bad for it! It works for us 💕 x
@Ella thanks so much for your comment, really put me at ease!
@Alix yeah that's it isn't it! I was checking the ingredients in the pouches and its literally just vegetables and water so I don't see how it's any different? X
Baby’s have to learn how to use there muscles and that’s what being sick and gagging is all about. It takes a little bit of time for it to develop. But honestly do what feels right for you - if you are nervous, she will pick up on that. My boy went straight to solids, but I sit lower than him so he puts his head forward instead of backwards if he gags, I also constantly demonstrate coughing and he’s a pro at moving stuff now and barely gags at anything (which is amazing because he had a bad tongue tie and high palate which caused a severe sensitive gag reflex). He spoon feeds himself and is so good at not putting it in too far. It’s amazing how quick they learn to eat confidently when you let them lead you. My boy was a very sicky and colicky baby too but now he’s eating 1 meal a day, we don’t really have any sick. He’s started using sippy cups with his meal because he’s never been able to use a bottle and he’s doing great with those x
Do whatever works for you 💕 we used the Ella’s kitchen pouches and once my LG got used to the 4month+ I moved her to the 7month+ which is more mashed and they are meals that we would make at home for example sausage and mash! So once I knew she liked the taste and texture I made the same at home. The Ella’s kitchen pouches have nothing bad in them so if they work for you don’t feel guilty about it 🤍 they work for me too they are brilliant 😂🙌🏽 also, food before 12 months is just getting used to food, textures, how to chew etc so don’t put any pressure on yourself and move at a pace which suits your little one x
