My Little one has been on nutramigen since he was around 3 weeks old we are.14 weeks old now and he is thriving! Originally starting on pepti one but he couldn't get on with it and made him so constipated
@Arti if it’s not Puramino I would request a second opinion! My son started on Pepti 1 but still had symptoms (not as severe but still there). GP then prescribed Nutramigen LGG and he went into near anaphylaxis. Hospital was disgusted GP would prescribe it because it has the exact same ingredients as Pepti 1 so if Pepti 1 didn’t work than Nutramigen LGG won’t either. The hospital put him onto Neocate and within a few weeks he was a different baby…was by week 4 that we had the turnaround! If Nutramigen Puramino then you should be absolutely fine as this is different to LGG and is amino acid based, like Neocate, rather than a hydrolysed formula like Pepti 1 or LGG xx
My LO has been on Nutramigen for about 6 weeks now and he is like a different baby. So much more settled, comfortable and is thriving with it! It’s hard at first…he hated it but it doesn’t take long for them to settle 🙂
We were on Neocate and it honestly changed our lives, we went from an unhappy, unsettled baby crying a majority of the time never slept, in discomfort to a happy smiley baby almost overnight. The sleep has only just improved now at 14 months lol but since we had Neocate at 6 months it was like having a different baby, just breaks my heart it took the first 6 months of his life to get to that point as feel like we were robbed of that time x
@Charlotte I always feel like people think I’m being dramatic when I say that neocate completely changed him as a baby!🙈😂 so glad someone else feels the same!! It was a rough journey for us too and made those first few months even harder (and like you say, almost robbed time) but I’m just so happy we got there in the end! So glad you’re also getting some sleep now too haha! 🫶🏻
My little guy started on nutramigen at 9 weeks. He was a different baby within a few days but it took a good few weeks for his system to get used to the new milk and to purge the dairy, he had weird cottage cheese green poos for a while x
Thank you all so much! Isla seems to be adapting well thankfully! I know it’ll take a few weeks before we know for sure but as for now having a happier and settled baby is enough 🥺. It’s nice to see these pov as makes me feel like I’m not alone x
Also following to hear everyone’s outcomes as we tried Aptamil pepti which didn’t agree with my little one, we’ve been prescribed Nutramigen now but yet to try as I’m ebf.
