What country are you based?

Books like The Alchemist or The Four Agreements.
Where are you based? You can reach out for masjeds they usually have funds for kids
Id check with the jails policy and perhaps ask other voulenteers? (I love that you do this btw ♥️)
My friend really liked manga and graphic novels while incarcerated, he said they were very popular among the inmates
Thriftbooks would be a good deal if you wanted to gift books to inmates! If allowed, you could give them each a little care kit that includes a new toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, socks, etc. Maybe you could get them rpg/dnd book rulesets and a paper that lists ideas of different dice alternatives if dice aren’t allowed. Also maybe print character sheets for the rpg you are providing. Some dice alternatives include: a deck of cards, paper slips in a bag, homemade spinners, random number generator on a calculator. You could look these up, and include details on how to use them on a paper cheat sheet for them to reference. Pens, pencils, & notebooks if allowed for character notes, character sheets, etc.
Journal /sketchbooks!
@Karen usa
Some great suggestions already. Puzzle/activity books Sketch book/journal/scrapbook Art supplies Books/comics/anime/magazines Snacks Are they allowed things like lego/mini blocks? Self care kits
Books and art supplies! As long as you check in on what they are allowed to have.
I would give each an activity book and a fidget toy (if those are allowed)
