Can I ask what was the trigger for you getting tested for GD? I haven’t had anything mentioned about it ?? Thanks!
@Emma Walsh typically everyone should get the 1 hour glucose test around 28 weeks. Don't really need a 'reason' for it. Its just standard testing (in the US)
When i was in the first trimester after testing my midwife said I need to get it done later in pregnancy so it was pre booked at hospital mine was a 2 hour appointment so it took time
My midwife said because I don’t have any risk factors I don’t need to have it done. They’ll just check it in a blood test at my next appointment instead when they check my iron. In the UK everyone doesn’t need to have the specific test unless you have risk factors
it means you're in normal range. you do not have GD
