Starving after nursery

Anyone else’s little one come home from nursery and eat LOADS? He has 4 meals while he’s there and they say he eats it all but he’s come home and had a bag of crisps, raspberries, crackers and some banana within an hour of being home😵‍💫 I don’t mind feeding him obviously but I don’t know if they’re giving him tiny portions????

I've always wondered about portions too! I've tried asking for photos so I can see but they won't send any!

Mine also is absolutely ravenous. We feed a full supper plus fruit plus yoghurt plus sometimes some bread with hummus or cream cheese. Plus milk for sleep less than an hour later. And the odd thing is that he has extra portions at nursery. I keep asking them for photos too. Weird. I also think he’s over tired when he comes home and that contributes to the attitude and appetite

So my little boy will have a weetabix for breakfast. Then at Nursery he has a snack which is toast & fruit. Then he has lunch- something like curry followed by pudding of some sort. Then for tea at Nursery it's a smaller meal- wraps or couscous plus pudding. Our key worker advised he would need a further small meal once home so we usually give him another small portion meal plus yoghurt/fruit. He then has milk before bed. Our key worker said boys do tend to need a bit more food (on average, obv not all boys and some girls too). I think at this age they are still growing massively and so they need a lot of food. I read it their appetite reduces a bit as they age over 2 as the growth slows down.
