What food do you deed your LO?

Our son has lost weight recently, which is stressing us out so much but we aren't massively surprised because he barely eats! Can you all give me an example of what food you make your LO's and how much they actually eat of it? Feeling like a terrible mother right now 😞

Each day is different with how much she eats. Some days she will finish her plate or even ask for seconds and other days she will have a mouthful of the same meal and be done. Typical days food would be Small bowl of fruit & scrambled egg on toast Pasta & cheese Curry and rice Snacks during the day - banana, boiled egg, banana muffin, grated cheese, fruit, wafers, crackers, cup of milk (again she doesn’t always eat everything. A lot of the time she’ll have a couple of mouthfuls) X

My lo can be hit & miss with food too. Lately, I have involved her in e.g. making breakfast or assembling a lunchtime sandwich together..... she eats better when she is involved in the process. I've also found praising her helpful too

My son is obsessed with pasta, so anything with pasta I know he will finish. Lasagne, mac and cheese, bolognaise. Does he have a favourite? X

Mine loves porridge, we've had a few days where she's had porridge for breakfast and a supper before bed. She loves omelettes too and helps me make them, I grate a bit of cheese on top and she demolishes them. For dinners she loves rice dishes - curries, risottos etc. I pack them full of veggies and protein, although she is actually a big veggie lover I know I have it easy. She'll definitely eat more dinner if she doesn't snack but her favourite snacks are bananas, spoons of peanut butter, mini cheddars, cheese slices, cucumbers. I mostly decide meals based on her texture preferences, so porridge and risotto type textures I know she'll probably love.
