My December baby 👶

My December baby was born a week early on Tuesday 3rd December by C-Section. 5lb 7oz of perfection 🥰 I’m so in love and don’t want to ever put him down!!! I am asking tho it is my first section and now at day 3 the pain is overwhelming! Does anyone have any advice/tips to make it abit easier or just how long until it gets better 🙏

No advice as my c section is next week but fab name!!

Congrats! I had my c-section a week ago today, my LO was born 3 weeks early. Best thing I found was forcing myself to move, to get my muscles working again. It’s bloody hard but the quicker you move and get up the quicker your body will heal. ♥️

I had my 2nd section Monday 2nd and I am certainly finding it harder this time, or maybe I just don’t quite remember the worst parts of the previous recovery 😅 Tips from me would be……Religiously take your pain medication, every 2 hours, even if you don’t think you need it. Really don’t life anything heavier than your baby and do rest as much as possible. It’s great to get up and move, I do think you do need to do that but your body won’t thank you if you overdo it. Drink peppermint tea to avoid or help ease any trapped wind. Sleep propped up and attach something to the bed to help you sit yourself up / pull yourself into a sitting position. Take all the offers of help you get. Xx

I had a c section last year and the same day I had my c section I was up and moving, crazy I know but I’m one of these people that can’t sit still for a long period of time, my healing process was rather quick but I also had a little pain but still slowly pushed myself to walk about as I didn’t want to feel sore and fragile, I litterally slept with pillows all around me and I had my partner to help with moving around and lifting me up I’m due to be having my second very soon, I know all recovery’s are different but I’m going to try and do everything I did with my last xx

Are you taking any meds? The gave me 800mg of ibuprofen and that helped. Started feeling better after a week . It helps to take a hot shower to help you stand up and walking helps to recover faster. I’m not looking forward to my second c section 🥴 take care mama

I echo @Victoria, had my emergency C-section last week( it's my 9th day today), forced my myself to be mobile and it is helping me a lot in healing. I have substantially reduced my painkillers also to one paracetamol+ one ibuprofen a day. Even when it's hard, just please keep moving

Congratulations! Love his name!! Same as my 2 1/2 year old 💙

My first section this time around and day 3 was the worst. Day 4 was slightly better and day 5 much better ..day 7 i had a slow walk through town to register my baby! Honestly those first days you think it can't get much worse, bit it does rapidly improve afterwards x Set alarms for your meds, even in the night. DyhydroCodeine 4 hourly, paracetamol 6 hourly, and nurofen 8 hourly. Slowly potter about where you can but definitely rest a lot and don't over do things. I'm almost 3 weeks in and the only pain I have now is nerve pain from the feeling coming back where my stomach had previously been numb x

Congratulations 🩵Take all the pain killers you can and walk walk walk 😂 I had to walk a lot cause my baby was in special care in other part of the hospital and I’m telling you my recovery has been so good . With my first boy I wasn’t walking at all , few steps here and there and it took me long to recover and I was sore for long . But with this one I was forced to walk a lot because of my baby but it helped the recovery so much .

Congrats x
