Mine came back first cycle (and I am pumping on a schedule). I'm at 12w and on 2nd period now, pumping the entire time with a little bit of breastfeeding here and there. I'm not sure there is any rhyme or reason to periods returning. I'm sure I've heard of ladies having a year (lucky them) before it comes back.
I exclusively pump and just got mine at 4 months pp.
I’m exclusively breastfeeding and got mine back at 10 weeks PP. and got my second cycle at 15 weeks PP. It is common to get one and then it go away for a bit. It’s common to not get one for a bit. It’s common for the cycles to be longer or shorter than before, etc etc. It is all about your hormones and how they regulate. When you BF your prolactin is usually higher which stops ovulation. But not for all women.
i exclusively pump had a 1 period at 8 weeks and not another since, hoping it stays that way 😂
Mine came back this week 14 weeks pp
1st baby came back at 5 weeks and was breastfeeding and pumping. 2nd baby is 20 weeks, was mixed feeding, now breastfeeding and still yet to return x
9 wks pp. EBF
@Dominique I don't breastfeed
With my second I'm still waiting but with my first I didn't get mine until he was 20 months. Which was about 2 months after we stopped breastfeeding!
7 months PP for me
The midwife at my antenatal class said that if you breastfeed /express on a regular schedule, it won't come back until there's a break in that pattern
