Are your friends and family checking in on you more lately? People keep asking me how I am doing and I know everyone is excited for baby to be here. I felt there wasnt that much check in during my full pregnancy only these last few days. I am more on the private side so I bet theyre wondering if baby is here and I just havent updated folks yet. I am not sure how to feel - annoyed, overwhelmed? Or thankful for the check ins. I feel both. Also, baby is not here but any day now and just feeling so focused on delivery and resting that everything feels to overwhelming.

I've noticed a ton of people checking in recently and it's because I'm almost due as well but I'm getting induced Monday. People have been blowing up my phone knowing I'm busy and none of them have checked on me since they found out right at the beginning. It kind of feels like all they really want to know about is the baby. Which I'm so glad for that but I don't want them to be around while he's fresh then dip out after the excitement has settled. I'm happy that you'll have your sweet baby soon! Take time for yourself and don't let anyone walk over you. You've got this 💕 it's about you guys and no one else at this moment!

Definitely checking in on baby’s arrival, but my friends & family are doing so in a supportive way vs. adding pressure. I’m also being firm with sharing that I’ll let them know when there’s any news to share. Feel free to set boundaries with them, too!

@Katelyn I feel the same, theyre just checking and then will most likely disappear when baby is here. I think just reminding myself I dont owe anyone any updates helps and I mean that in the most way possible. I dont need to feel the pressure from people who havent checked in only now. I hope everything goes well for your induction tomorrow!! You will meet your baby very soon!

I hid my pregnancy this time around and i announced the news on December 1st. Then I went into labor on Friday. Some family members have visited in the hospital and some will visit at home (sister’s house). I’m not too strict on people coming to visit. My oldest sister hasn’t visited yet because she wanted me to rest which is understandable. I’ve been staying at my second sister house (since December 2nd) and staying another week. My grandma wants to take care of me (traditional/cultural after birth home remedies) before I leave home. So, I’m staying another week then heading back home (an hour away). I hope you ladies have a good and healthy delivery and labor 🤍
