Snacks

What snacks (preferably homemade and actually nutritious!) are people giving their bubs? We’ve got loads of the Ella’s kitchen snacks but looking for something that’ll actually give him calories and nutrition. Thanks!

Nothing too exciting just yoghurt and fruit, cheese and crackers, breadsticks or cucumber slices etc

We do a lot of fruit - bananas, oranges, raspberries. Also cucumber or cooked carrot sticks

I’ve just made some avocado biscuits which went down well. I follow https://www.instagram.com/yummy_little_belly?igsh=MTEyZWp2MGN6NjQ4cg== Which has loads of recipes.

@Rebecca ooh this account looks good! I’ll def do the avocado biscuits and going to try these carrot & sweet potato ones too https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7KNxqtMmdo/?igsh=bTNhbjhzOWZ5dmE3

@CeeCee my baby would live on yoghurt and cheese if I let him 🤭

@Kirsty weirdly I’ve not tried oranges yet! No idea why. But yes to carrot and cucumber etc. I’m trying to find more calorie dense stuff though too as I don’t feel he’s getting enough at meal times!

@Sarah yeah my baby loves oranges!!

We do a lot of pastry. I don’t make the pastry though.. prerolled puff then make Twists or pinwheels. Mostly cheese twists but you can mash up veg in aswell if you want. Pinwheels I’ve made pizza ones, and more recently apple pie vibe ones with baked apple and cinnamon.
