Weaning

Is anyone else’s baby not really interested in weaning? She wants my food but when I try with her she hates everything bar porridge! I’ve tried all fruits and veg. What am I doing wrong? Feel like a terrible mum

It’s fine they are so little still, it’s just about introducing tastes at this stage. My baby is exactly the same

Same! My LO is ok with purées but just ok. I have given her a strawberry and she seems to love that but that's it🤷🏻‍♀️ we're just finishing week 3! X

Mine has zero interest, he's nearly 7 months and doesn't seem to want to open his mouth to any food, I'm just taking it slow and not really worrying about it, the milk is enough until they are 12 months, so I'll try again in a couple of weeks x

I spent the first few weeks giving mine quite smooth purees, mostly mixed with her formula. After that I've started thickening them up and giving some finger foods. Most of it ends up on the floor but she's getting there. Like Beckie says above, it's mostly about introducing tastes, and the concept of sitting and chewing at meal times

My LO was like that and then I started seasoning his purées with baby friendly spices and he became interested in food and has been eating a lot since then x

My baby just has the same food as me. He will 100% try mine when I offer it (even if he’s got the same) so I just let him. Tonight he was sucking on his own steak and mushrooms and eating my pasta off my fork
