The cheapest and easiest available to you. They're all the same.
I'd say Kendamil But there's currently a shortage and unable to get it anywhere
Formulas are not all the same. There are legal requirements in terms of what they need to contain but there are very different formulations using different milks from different animals. Kendamil comes highly recommended as it’s from grass fed cows which means it’s naturally higher in vit A, beta carotene, omega 3 etc. Nannycare is also highly recommended as a goat milk alternative because for some babies it’s more easily digestible and therefore causes less bloating and collicy symptoms especially for newborns.
@Reena not all the same at all! I think taking time to read the labels would tell you that. OP: best formulas in terms of ingredients are as follows (top three) 1. Kendamil 2. HIPP Organic 3. HOLLE Go with whichever is within your price range but sometimes cheap means more additives etc. We get Kendamil organic and never had an issue with shortages but it’s on the pricey side
@Andreia I've read the labels. They're all that same. It's all marketing. It's one of the most tightly regulated products out there. If anything had evidence that it was beneficial to babies they would make it a requirement to be all formula. Kendamil does great marketing to make everyone think they are the best and it causes shortages/they intentionally create a shortage.
@Reena tightly regulated in that they all have to have the same key nutritional profile - proportion of fats, protein etc legally but they are all made of totally different things and some have additional additives in them. To say they are the same is like saying 100calories of chocolate is the same as 100calories of apple. It’s the same, but definitely not the same also.
@Reena I disagree. I’m a crunchy mum so I don’t recommend products lightly.
@Epiphany exactly this. I work in marketing so I understand the “marketing strategies” used. But it’s like comparing a factory chicken to a free range organic chicken 🤣 still both chickens but hugely different nonetheless 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve used sma for my older 2 (19&17 now) other 4 I’ve used Aptamil. Cow and gate made my 18 week old sick so went to Aptamil and she’s fine
@Andreia what is a "crunchy mum"? https://www.firststepsnutrition.org/reviews-of-claims It's all marketing and they've done a great job of marketing their product.
