How far on are you? Do they really need to break your waters? You are in control of this, don't let them try to convince you if not a necessity yet? It just feels like a pop and then flows from what I remember x

Ah I had my waters broken during induction 2 weeks ago and the breaking of waters didn’t hurt at all! The cervical exams are worse. Good luck! Xx

When I had my waters broken I actually forgot what the midwife was doing and apologised for weeing myself 😂 no pain what so ever

I was surprised how much it didn’t hurt having waters broken. Good luck!

Oh that's great then! Will they keep me in hospital once they've been broke. Im low risk bur 41 weeks x

With my last pregnancy they induced me just by breaking my waters, got there by lunch time, was on machine for a while then had to wait for them to break them once there was a bed available on delivery, waters got broke at 4.30 (no pain) and contractions started straight away and had her by 7pm. Good luck

Doesn’t hurt at all. Quite funny the waterfall that can happen. Mine wasn’t a waterfall right away. Took time and then started to gush out haha. Good luck mumma!

So... they broke my waters. Literally soaked the entire room🤣

Depends - sometimes they are happy to give you 24 hours at home but no longer as there’s an increase in infection risk after that time. I had to stay in after I had mine broke because I had high blood pressure. They only gave me 4 hours to progress on my own and then gave me the hormone drop to speed it along

Personally you don’t need to ‘rush in’ because it’s convenient for them at that time. Depends what your plan was but if your low risk and have the ability to hang off to encourage a little more time for natural labour. I personally would. But best of luck on any decision that you make! Hope for the safe arrival of your baby.
