NEED travel tips - long flight with toddler

In 3 weeks we’re doing a 16 hour flight to Australia with our 14 month old daughter. The only issue is that she has only ever slept on me a few times ever, she just doesn’t. She will only sleep in her crib or car seat. She’s gonna be a lap infant so we won’t have her car seat. She is also THE LIGHTEST sleeper ever, I mean any little noise or movement wakes her up. She has to sleep with her sound machine so loud every night because she’s such a light sleeper. I’m genuinely so scared for this flight and getting her to sleep. I don’t know what i’m supposed to do if she never falls asleep on me or my husband. I also get extremely overstimulated very easily and I’m just so stressed for it. It is an overnight flight so that’s my only hope, that she’ll just get tired enough that she falls asleep. But please if you have any tips please I can use any

My son is like yours, he doesn't sleep in my arms. What airline are you flying? Do they alow an airplane bed, bubba board or extention? Feel free to pm me. I haven't done a 16 hour flight but 10 hours yes and exactly at that age, next Sunday we are flying again and I'm getting ready because it is different at every age . He is almost 2 now

I feel you. I ve recently visited family and travel for a total of 23 hours (with 2 stops) on my own with my 14 months old. I will travel back in 3 Days. Lap seat is the worse. If you are lucky the flight won't be fully booked and so you might use an extra seat. Take a lots of snacks, some toys, plan to walk around a lot. At least you are two going with him so you can share the load for whatever you may need.
