Making a bottle with the kettle

Hello I’ve started making bottles with the kettle how does everyone do it I am using Kendmil and followed the instructions. I’ve put the bottle in cold water to cook does anyone else do this? How long do you wait after the kettles boiled to make a bottle?

Hey, I use aptimel but I assume the instructions are exactly the same. I boil the kettle 30 minutes before making the bottle. I then leave the bottle to cool in a jug of cold water!

@Romana do you time the 30mins for kettle to cool or just do it roughly?

I try to time it but sometimes lose track so it’s roughly x

Controversial but I’ve been using the fridge method since my little girl was born and not had any issues! I tend to make up three bottles at a time, cool then in the sink in cold water and then fridge them until I need them x

I have a temperature gadge on my kettle which tells me when it's at 70 then cool down under tap x

Thank you everyone makes a lot more sense now am just gonna stick to waiting the 30 mins for kettle to cool I do have a prep machine but it’s not recommended so I’d rather not personally xx

We use the prep machine of a night and kettle of a day, but I just fill a flask with boiling water so I don’t have to keep boiling the kettle. To be honest she’s had it every which way, out the fridge and warmed up, prep machine, fresh with kettle/ cool down, Nuby and rapid cool, but I’ve started just putting the hot water in the bottle 1-2 hours before it’s due and then adding milk and cooling if needed. None of these methods have brought any issues. Although the NHS recommend certain ways, different methods have been around for ages with no actual issues x
