How is my test this positive

Because you are far into pregnancy already. You are 5 weeks pregnant, it's normal they are dark already

And a 24 day cycle

It is when it started that matters not when it finishes. Digital tests count from ovulation day not from the date of your last period so, you are 5 weeks pregnant (you have to add 2 weeks to that result).

@Veronica if her last period was 22nd she’s 3 weeks not 5 we’re do you work out 5 ? You don’t add 2 weeks on from your period you add it on from ovulation hence it goes from your period !

@Paige beside the fact that she said it ended on the 22 and you don't count from the date that it ended but from the day that it started. Beside this, I didn't even take into consideration that date as it's clearly not the one that matters here. The test says 2-3 weeks, feel free to check online but those tests calculate from your ovulation/conception day, so she is 2-3 weeks pregnant from ovulation day and you very well know that before that, there are (generally speaking) 2 weeks of follicular phase so you have to add that to the test results and you'll be 5 weeks pregnant (if she goes to the doc today to have a date scan she would be dated 5 weeks more or less). So as I said earlier she probably ovulated earlier that she thought or with a period ended on the 22 she couldn't be so far into pregnancy already.

@Veronica but she could have high levels of hcg indication of twins /multiple . Even if her period ended on the 22nd let’s take it as a 6/7 day period . The digital measure hcg levels it don’t indicate weeks … I didn’t get my 2-3 onit until I was 6 weeks most don’t get a 3+ till weeks after . So it’s not valid what your saying

How dark test lines doesn't determine multiples... But was your period normal last time? And some people can have periods when pregnant...

@Jen it was lighter only slightly and still had really painful cramps and quiet heavy bleeding but I am on blood thinners I bleed so much

You'll have to wait for your dating scan and they should tell you how far along you are but the digital is saying you are between 4-5 weeks, congrats though 😊 x

Awww 😍 you could be nearly 7 or actually 7 weeks by then 😍 if internal which usually is this early you should see a heartbeat but can take until 8/9 so don't be too worried! Please keep me updated! ❤️ So excited for you!
