ugh, that sounds tough! my little one was the same way, and honestly, sometimes they just wanna be close to you at night, so maybe try co-sleeping for a bit if you're comfy with it? Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here's what it says: "It sounds like you're doing a great job with your little one, and it's completely normal for newborns to have irregular sleep patterns. Since your baby settles well during the day, you might try to create a more distinct difference between day and night by keeping nighttime interactions calm and quiet, while allowing more light and activity during the day. Additionally, consider trying to hold him for a bit after feeding before placing him back in the bassinet, as this might help him feel more secure.
Heating pad in the bassinet just before you put them in and quick transfer while they are very sleepy and put slight pressure on their belly when you first put them in while gently rocking. It's so normal, it's exhausting but newborns just want comfort and they are still getting used to being in this big world!
