How many ounces should my 2 week old be having she doesn’t seem satisfied after 2 ounces
My perfect prep machine is a lifesaver. Makes a bottle in 2 minutes!
You could get a Tommee Tippee prep machine or a Nuby rapid cool
If you want the easiest solution - baby brezza Formula Machine (chefs kiss, as you don't need to do anything. It has a compartment for powder and one for water. It dispenses and mixes the correct amounts with a press of a button, at perfect temp) although pricy. Cheap and cheerful have a hot water flask and cold boiled water and pre-measured formula. I tend just to use the ready-made one and put it in a bottle warmer ( i stopped using the formula machine as this time round I breastfeed more than I formula feed)
I just had x5 bottles prepared at once stored in the fridge. The NHS says you can do it and I never had any problems with it for my daughter, who has just turned 1. It was actually better for her in the long run as she had bad reflux
As the formula I use can’t be used with a prep machine I fill boiled water from the kettle into a sterile bottle up to the 4 ounce mark ( my baby is drinking 6 ounces so where you fill it up will depend on how many ounces your baby drinks) and leave that to cool down to room temperature on the kitchen counter (I have 12 bottles and I fill all with water and sterilise the bottles and fill them back up in batches throughout the day so I always have bottles with cold water) Then when my little one wants a bottle I top it up with boiling water straight from the kettle up to the 6 ounce mark then add the formula and it’s perfect temperature for him to drink It seems really long winded and needs a lot of forward planning but I find it better for us as if we go out I can take the pre filled bottles with cold water and a flask with hot water so we never need a hot water supply which is what I didn’t like about spending the money on a Nuby Rapid Cool
I use the nuby rapid cool, i have a flask of boiling water, leave the hot shot in the bottle (add formula to that) and add rhe rest of the water into the nuby rapid cool to cool down then i add to the bottle, makes a cold enough bottle each time
