Oh yes, my eldest went through a stage of doing this. We'd find things stuffed in her pockets and even down her pants 🤪. I'm sure nursery have dealt with it before and will again! You're doing the right thing returning the items and discussing with your daughter and I'm sure she'll grow out of it soon.
Oh bless! I think it's really common and remember that 3 year olds have no concept of 'stealing'. The teacher probably calls all of the parents that it happens with just because it helps to keep the resources in school as much as possible. The fact that you're so conscientious shows that this is not something you encourage xx
Honestly don't be embarrassed. It happens. Oliver tries to all the time haha. Xx
Omg so many kids do this don’t worry! I just make them take it back the next session and apologise… sorry I took this I was having so much fun I wanted to take it home so I could play more! Maxi does it and I work at preschool he’ll get home and say look 👀 and show me whatever he’s snuck in his pocket 😂 my boss has joked that she’s going to shake him by his ankles when he leaves 😂😂
Oh thank you so much everyone!!!! I can finally relax haha. I’ve been feeling so embarrassed about it thinking where have I gone wrong with her 😂
I find this really cute and funny! Bless her 🥹 my friends little one would do the same and would somehow find small rubber ducks and bring home a different one every day. At the end of the week she would just return them all again 🥲😅
@Jessica I guess it’ll be a funny story to tell her when she’s older 😩😂
@Sophie one of my childminding parents just text me and was like I assume this is from your house… just found it in her vest, she’s 18months old!
Yes my son was doing it all the time, they nicknamed him light fingered Lawrance (our surname) at playgroup 😂😂😂 I just explained to him that those things don’t belong to him and he eventually understood
