Speech

My nearly 14 month old daughter only says ‘dada’ and the occasional ‘hi’. She used to say ‘mama’ and ‘nana’ every now and then but has stopped for months. Other than these and babbling, she doesn’t say any other words and doesn’t imitate us at all. Should I be concerned?

No harm in mentioning it to the health visitor and the gp. The earlier you voice your concerns and start pushing the earlier you can hopefully put things in place to support your little one x

I don't know if it's normal or not, but my son is the same. 14 months next week. He mostly says dada but he can say daddy, mumma, cat, hi and yeah. He knows what lots more words are without saying them, and will sign for food. But he barely says anything but dada now 😬 Following for the comments too 😅

I believe it’s normal, I was concerned when my daughter wouldn’t talk as much for a week and now she’s 2 she doesn’t stop talking lol

Our son is 15 months and only says 3 words.xx
