I'm so sorry for your loss. Did you find this out at the postmortum? X
@Marnie my case has been investigated by the MNSI who are external and independent. They took a statement from us about my care from start to finish, they then interview staff, spend a day at the hospital, look at all of my notes and scans with clinical advisors. I was contacted today by them almost to pre warn us of the findings before they come and visit me next week to discuss the results in detail. She said usually they find 1-2 things that should be improved but in my case they found 5, and yeah all of which are to with how the unit is run, that wasn’t triaged properly, or assessed thoroughly enough. And, to my horror they feel I was dismissed and that my ethnicity played a part in how I was wrongly assessed (I’m mixed white and black Caribbean). I’m just in total shock x
I'm so so sorry to hear that. Hoping you get lots of care and be kind to yourself as this sounds like such a tough journey (on top of an already tough journey) sending love 💕
@Marnie thank you, sorry for your loss also. It really is such an awful situation that too many of us are in xx
Not yet but I will be! I have a friend in the PALs team so she was going to be helping me with it. There is things online like chat gpt which you could just give the bot the main points and it'll draft a letter up. You could then change certain parts of it? Or you could just use it as a rough outline Well done for doing this though. And I'm so sorry that you've found that information out 😭 it's not ok and our babies shouldn't be passing away because of the faults of the NHS xx
