@Kitty (: ty
I was told to just get cracking after I’d stopped miscarriage bleeding due to age and not wasting a cycle.
@Yog seems like that’s the advice everyone else is getting 😩 I just don’t want it documented that I went against medical advice or something
I have a super irregular period too but after my miscarriage I had one within 3 weeks. I don’t know what the maths is but the Dr had assured me I’d have one within 4-6weeks x
@Lily hoping that’s the case for me too!! ♥️♥️
@paula you had what you thought was your period and whoooopsssss 😈🤣
@Yog lmao I am honestly tempted to say that 😂😂
Hi, I’m sorry this happened to you. All they can give you is advice it’s up to you if you want to take it or not. My OB highly recommended I get a uterine septoplasty (I have a septate uterus) before trying again but a fertility specialist I saw for a second opinion said he didn’t think I needed the surgery. My husband and I have decided to try another time before opting for the surgery. I got pregnant 2.5 months after my miscarriage.. currently 9 weeks. I am now just praying for the best 🙏
Hey! I had a chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage I’m not sure what it’s classed as I was about six weeks along, I didn’t have a period at all after and I caught pregnant the month after with absolutely no bleeding in between, I’m 31 weeks along now with a healthy baby girl 💕
Girl, there's a lot to stress out about when losing a pregnancy and ttc again, waiting for a period shouldn't be one of them. Medical advice is not a law (so much so that they vary), it's a recommendation you can follow or not. I was told to wait 3 months but as long as my body and mind are ready, there's no reason to wait. Don't be hard on yourself if you feel ready to start right away.
@paula I mean do your research but in my mind there’s no medical reason I’m aware of if you are testing negative. I’d be getting cracking. They say you are more fertile for a few cycles too.
Thanks everyone. I reached out to my primary care nurse practitioner for a 2nd opinion because of her expertise (she specialized in OBGYN care prior to switching to primary care) and greater familiarity with my health and cycles etc. she’s amazing and I trust her advice so I’ll go with whatever she says. The OB who helped w my miscarriage isn’t even my regular OB. I’d never talked to her before my miscarriage.
@paula good for you for pushing to explore an avenue that could be important for you. I think mental as well, miscarriage hell means you either need a break for a while, or you need to feel productive in your goal so there’s merit in that too. x
In case anyone wants an update or if this is helpful to someone later on: I reached out to my doctor and she actually agreed with the OB. My doctor is the best provider I’ve ever had (I got on a months long waitlist just to become her patient) and has taken many hours to learn about the full spectrum of my health and medical history. All that to say, I’m going to wait bc I do trust her advice.
