Family friendly suburbs in Northern Sydney.

I’m moving to Sydney in January with my Husband and 6 month old. We were initially planning to live in Manly but my husband has been warned that his commute to Royal North Shore Hospital everyday will be awful from there. Can anyone recommend any suburbs near Royal North Shore that are family friendly, with stuff going on. My husband is going to be working a lot of the time so I need good outdoor spaces and stuff to keep us both entertained.

Hey Katie, pending what you classify as an ‘awful’ commute there are heaps of great family friendly suburbs that are within a 30min commute (if driving self, I am unsure about what buses would be like). Belrose, Forestville, Frenches Forest, St Ives all have great parks and walking distance to village shops. Message me if you have any more questions x

I live in Ryde and gave birth at Royal North Shore, so it's not far. Its got some great parks and has the river walk.

Lane Cove, is 10-15 minutes from RNSH, depending on traffic and has heaps of parks, cafes etc. It is very family friendly. We love it here. 😊
