This is the same as my eldest and my youngest now, I matched our routine to theirs but tend to give another snack once home x
That’s the same as our nursery. I collect her at 6 and always have a snack plate/ picky type dinner ready as she’s always hungry. I haven’t changed our times on our days at home though as she only goes 2 days per week x
My LO nursery also does tea at 3.30 so I do give him tea at home around 5.30 I just go by his lead. If he comes home starving I give him a full meal, but usually I do a picky plate with fruit, yoghurt, some veg and carbs (toast, crumpet, potatoes)
@Amy thank you! This is encouraging as we are only doing 2 days per week too. I’ll try a snacky plate ready when we get home as we’ll need something quick to prepare. Thanks for the ideas
We offer some of our dinner to baby around 6. He also eats around 430 at nursery. Sometimes he eats a fair amount sometimes just a little but we always offer as our nursery’s tea isn’t what I’d class as dinner x
I usually offer a snack whilst we eat our dinner at about 6 and depending on if she eats that I offer a supper at 7ish then she goes to bed at 8
Weetabix at 6pm is our go to. A friend said they did it so copied them
Thank you all so much for the ideas. Do you all offer a ‘first breakfast’ before going to nursery as well?
I do because she wakes up at 6 but doesn’t start until 8. I just give her a banana usually with a rice cake they always tell me she eats all her breakfast whilst at nursery too 😂. My girl just loves her food
Our nursery is the same, I pick him up at 5:30pm (they have a snack tea at 4pm). I give him weetabix or porridge when we get home x
That’s similar to my son’s nursery but they do tea at 3:30!! I give him a small snack at what would be of our normal dinner time between 5-6, something like crumpets/pancakes or some fruit, he usually doesn’t want much as he’s full but I like to offer something
