My daughter was 2.5 when we began the journey. A year later now (so now she's 3.5) she just spent this last week 100% completely diaper free, including overnights. It's a process and each child takes to it in their own way.
I just tried it with my daughter just so that she could get the jist of the potty jist bc she’s always in the bathroom with me and her went to The potty. I was shocked surprised and emotional bc I wasn’t expecting her to even do that. Mind you she’s one and she’s not even fully walking jist yet
I also have a ten yr old. With her I waited till she was ready. Which was around 3 and change. It was like three months before she turned 4 and she went into pre k. It was painless. I tried Before that and it was a headache.

This video I JUST saw talks about the sweet spot of when you should potty train!
We started as soon as baby could sit up with some “pre potty training”. She sat on lid in her diaper around when she should have to go like right after nap time. Just to get used to and have positive experiences hanging out there. Now shes starting to walk so I always take her with me when I go and sometimes she wants to “go” after me.
Imma do that but do it after her naps and before her bedtime so she can get the hang of it.. today she just wasn’t feeling it to much when she woke up but I’m definitely starting the process slowly
I did the same as Ashley, I started putting him in a potty as soon as he could sit. This is my first but I’ve potty trained three kids, two girls and one boy. My mom also had my siblings and I potty trained as soon as we could walk and it worked. So I will be doing the same.
When my son starts walking and talking I'm going to start
