@Stephanie did you know about your cyst prior to the rupture? Is it something that bugged you?
I didn’t! Just randomly happened. Had I known, I would have had it removed before. Recovery from surgery was easy. I was back to work that week. The worst part was I lost a lot of blood from the rupture and almost needed a transfusion
@Stephanie oh my goodness. Glad everything turned out okay. Do you ever feel pains from the incisions or notice any pain after removal, after fully healing? I guess I’m just nervous my body will never be the same after.
I haven’t personally had cyst removal but my sister has and I had a tube removed (ruptured ectopic), from what I understand the surgeries are very similar. It was my first surgery and the recovery was super easy, I was terrified but everything went smoothly. Also, 3cm doesn’t seem that large but ovaries are usually about 6cm so it’s taking about half your ovary, if your skeptical I would get a second opinion but from what I understand now, they really don’t suggest surgery until it’s needed. My doctors have done everything under the sun for cysts, cervical cancer prevention, etc to avoid surgery.
@Randie thanks a lot! Yeah, I think I should do my best to avoid surgery for a 3cm cyst! Hoping pelvic floor therapy helps and that this cyst will go away on its own or at least stop growing
Hi!! I had a cyst removed because mine ruptured. I had never been in so much pain before
