Greek yogurt

does anyone know if this is ok for baby? I’ve been giving her this with mango fruit and she loves it but the yoghurt says it’s naturally strained. I’ve got a pic on the comments of info on the packaging. I’ve read online that it’s safe for babies and actually really good for them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I give mine Greek yoghurt nearly every day x

@Elena ah amazing! Thank you! I know it’s a stupid question but I panicked for a sec 😂 she LOVES It with mashed mango

Greek yoghurt is perfect! No added ingredients and full fat is best 👌

Greek yoghurt or any yoghurt is fine to give as long as it's full fat and Unsweetened

It’s good to use if it’s pasteurised and unsweetened. Unfortunately in the UK it does not always state if it’s made from a pasteurised milk. But if it was made from unpasteurised, legally the producer would have to clearly state that on the label. If it does not say unpasteurised anywhere, then safe to use.

@Elina great! This is what I was mainly worried about as I couldn’t see it anywhere plus we eat this and didn’t want to have to buy separate yoghurts for her.

My first absolutely loved Greek yoghurt. I’ve got so many pictures of him absolutely covered in it 😂 really good for them, not so much for you cleaning up 😂

And can we start giving greek yogurt to the baby from 6 months onwards ?

@Manpreet yes

Ok thanks

And one more thing do I need to add any fruit for beginning if yes then what do you prefer?

@Manpreet you can do it plain, it’s also a good way of giving allergens like peanut butter for the first few times. My eldest used to like mashed raspberries and peanut butter in Greek yoghurt. Whatever you like really!

@Manpreet my baby loves blueberries made into a jam (I just boil them down with a little water and I use the frozen ones) and also puree mango

Ok I’ll try the same thanks !
