Is it feel like a sudden sharp pain on the pelvic and cervix? Or more the feeling like your organs is going to prolapse? I got this two feelings.
@Ophélie I get that occasionally but I believe that’s called lightening. I’m 38 weeks currently and I think I’ve started to experience braxton hicks. No tightening just a pulsating feeling all over a few times a day.
@Ophélie that sounds like lightening crotch. Braxton hicks are usually felt higher up on your bump
It could be different for everyone. When I get them, sometimes it be tight and uncomfortable. Sometimes, it’ll be tight, painful and comes with lower back pain. I use heading pad when I get them. Sometimes it comes with lightening crotch.
I was on the phone to my mum the other day and I suddenly got stabbing pains all over my bump and she said it was probably braxton hicks?! I’m 25 weeks. The sudden sharp pain in crotch is lightening crotch but I’m not sure what it means
Yes i have been. Don't let anyone tell you ins not painful. This is my second pregnancy and both times I've had painful braxton hicks. I get period like cramps, lower back pain, lightening crotch, and my belly gets really tight.
Thank you for all your answers. It gives a bit of highlights. Because I heard Braxton Hicks are like a fake contraction.
@Ophélie Yes, you’re correct. False labor. It’s your body preparing for labor. I don’t remember when I got them with my first but with my second, it started at 28 weeks. Edit: the lightning crotch is normal. It’s the baby putting pressure on your cervix .
If you can talk then it was a Braxton hicks but if you cannot then it’s a real contraction
@s a r a 🥀 thank you for the information. I didn’t know if it was normal to feel Braxton Hicks at 28/29 weeks.
it feels tight but not painful, it gets intense and frequent the further along you are
