Elective C-Section/Induction

Has anyone here decided to ask for an elective c-section/elective induction in their third trimester?? I am at my wits end and I’m only 32 weeks, I’m also so small height/weight wise and terrified about baby’s shoulders getting stuck or needing forceps?? I feel like I’ve spent my entire pregnancy in the hospital and I’m just fed up now🫣 How did it go down when you asked? And what was the process?

I’ve asked from the get go to have an elective c section. They obviously talk you through both but havent stopped me getting one. Had my obstetrics consult last week at 29 weeks

If that’s what you want, speak to your midwife and they’ll refer you to a consultant. They’ll go through risks etc and generally try and stop you from going down the section route however, if that’s what you want, advocate for yourself and push for it. They’ll can’t actually decline you one x

Not personal, but a colleague of mine also chose to have an elective C-section due to similar reasons and the midwife booked her an appt with a specialist to talk through the procedure. So it's definitely an option and no one can tell you no.

I chose to have an elective c section due to mental health issues and it’s already been booked for 39 weeks, it’s your choice and you can choose don’t let anyone tell you different, speak to your midwife and they can refer you! Don’t let anyone scare monger you into anything you don’t want to do, 🫶

I had an appointment today and im 32 weeks and fed up now too! She said with all factors she said it’s better for me and baby to have a c-section! I didn’t really get a choice but if it’s better for me and baby then that’s all it takes for me to go with it!
