We gave these bottles they take a while to feed from to be honest
@Tanya paced feeding breastmilk helps avoid overfeeding, stomach upset and bottle preference. I was advised by lactation consultant to use it and it’s also widely recommended for combi feeding/ exclusive pumping ☺️
I've just ordered these to try as the lansinoh slow flow is really fast and baby can't get a good latch on it either. Heard good things about these, they don't drip on their own, baby has to be actively sucking
@Charley yeah I liked that concept of only releasing when sucking. Tempted to just order one to try
@Abi yes we do paced feeding, he still drank the breast milk way quicker. Though we use Mam.
I’ve never used these so cant comment on the flow but i know a lot of babies struggle with this shape teat because they get quite a shallow latch on them and end up basically just nibbling on it x
@Millie I've heard that too, which is why I started with lansinoh bottles but my baby can't get on with them at all! We tried tommee tippee which are a similar shape to these and he likes them and it hasn't affected our breastfeeding latch so far.
@Charley yeah 100% very dependant on the baby some babies absolutely love that teat shape and won’t take any other but the majority wont and its just a lot of money to spend when you could try a cheaper brand like tommee tippee first x
@Millie I've just bought loads of bottles on vinted and then new teats on Amazon to try them all out and find one that works for us, you're right it's a lot of money to be spending!
@Charley yeah im quite lucky that i just stumbled upon a brand my son loves i bought all tommee tippee when i was pregnant then my son ended up only taking the teats the hospital gave us when we were there which are very similar to mam so i just ordered some mam ones to pick up on the way home from hospital, just wish id bought those from the start 🤣
What makes you think he's having them too quickly? I think if he isn't spitting up lots etc it's probably fine. I normally give my lo a bottle of formula and it takes a while to drink. Gave him a breast milk one the other day and he downed it. Same bottle etc but he suffered no ill effects so I think it was fine.
