How can I get paid being son caregiver

So my son is on the Spectrum and I heard that you can become your own child's caregiver and get paid through the state but every time we try to talk to them about it they have no idea what we're talking about this anybody do this for their child or know any and further information about this

My sister does it for her child but he’s not autistic. He has a lot of other harsher disabilities. I’m not sure if you can become your child’s caregiver for Autism but you can ask a social worker or the social worker at the hospital. That’s who helped my sister we in Chicago good luck.

They have to be on disability and disability insurance and then insurance pays for it through an agency.

Not sure about the US but I get paid for being my son’s caregiver who is autistic.
