How are we feeling about our first born almost turning one? 🥲

It's been a whileeeeee I've been reminiscing more often through videos and pictures of when I first gave birth and I wanted to tear up. Time really flies! I'm fortunate to live in a country where we get up to 18 months extended maternity leave and can take my time with my small family vs having the anxiety of going back to work so soon or the other option was to take a year off. Little do some know how many changes a child goes through in year one 🫣 the teething, the growth spurts and regressions have been intense lately but it's bittersweet my son's almost one! Another question, how long is mat leave where you're from?

Sad :( she's 1 in April going to fast for my liking lol I've been looking at her baby photos and even when she was in my tummy

I live in nz I got up 6 months which is nothing

@Aisha happy advance birthday to her in the spring! I miss some of my pregnancy moments too Oh wow! That is really short, how do you cope with that? Hopefully there's other gov support

My littlest is almost 8 months and I’ve been hitting the reminiscing stage lately which also gets me looking back at pictures of my 2 year old at this age lol I’m a stay at home mom but have a little side business. I took about a month and a half off (starting 2 weeks before birth) before I got the itch to start again. I did my toddlers birthday party a month after having baby and I feel like I came back better than before

@Michelle Le aww thank you so much 6 months were so so hard I managed to get under merternal care so I have a coffee group to go to and a peer support specialist to keep me company it was rough lucky I got paid till September then I just went onto winz how are you I 100% miss being pregnant

@Tessa wow! Your body recovered well🤗

@Aisha im glad you got that support! It's been challenging lately as my son's been teething a lot and going through 3 changes in waves it seems since 4 months old 😆😅 but it's making me strong to constantly adapt We're capable of so much and we're being tested daily
