Very similar problem to you but we didn’t get it sorted til after twins were born! We have a VW iD4 so similar car. Ended up buying all new car seats but they should all last them until they are big enough for boosters. We have a axkid movekid on one side for the 3 year old and have 2x avionaut sky seats for the twins. It’s snug but they do all fit. And its definitely easier lifting a baby into the middle seat than trying to persuade a toddler into it. We ended up having an in person appointment with a car seat specialist to find the configuration to fit, but it can be done! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
I’ve got 2 baby britax romer and the toddler version in the middle, I’ve just upgraded they all in the back and the toddler in the middle facing forward she just climbs in the front into the middle. I’ve got a Honda crv. Honestly when I was pregnant at the first scan this is all I thought.. I originally turned the airbag off the passenger seat and used the infant carrier in the front and one in the back and had a joie 360 for toddler when they were first born..
My car is quite small too x
Car Seat Safety on FB is helpful!
We had to buy a 7 seater 😄😅
It's absolutely fine to put one child in a rear facing car seat in the front as long as your air bag can be switched off 😊
I think in the long run, you will need a bigger car, such as one of the ones listed above. For now, you can put one in the front seat with the air bag turned off. Join car seat safety uk on Facebook. I know twins are often born a little smaller so an infant seat such as the Avionaut Pixel Pro is perfect for each twin x
@Gabrielle why can't he definitely be in the front?
@Charley as long as you turn the passenger seat airbag off they can be in the front rear facing x
Thank you all so much 🥰🥰
@Zara i know....that's why I'm asking Gabrielle to clarify
You can try a slimmer car seat. There’s a graco slim fit that you can do three across. So you can try that. And if that one can’t fit then maybe get three for Also the twins because I’m pretty sure those car seats you can use for newborn too. But I’d look into that to make sure it’s the slimmest one that can do three across but if that doesn’t work he definitely cannot be in the front so the only other thing would be to get a bigger car
