Combination feeding

We are exclusively bottle feeding and wanting to feed both expressed breast milk and formula but going in a bit blind on the topic. Can we feed breast milk in the day and then formula through the night? Wasn’t sure if there was a recommended way or schedule to follow.

Not sure on the recommended way but we combi feed and typically do a formula feed or two at night and expressed milk during the day but sometimes we switch it up if need 😊 so far haven’t had any issues with baby in terms of gas or sickeness etc

I don’t think there’s any recommendations on this. I literally alternate one bottle of BM and one bottle of formula next (my BM supply is low so this is what works for me!) but sometimes if my son is being extra hungry at night I give more formula as don’t have the BM to give to him🥰

I can't offer much advice for what I've tried but was chatting to a woman the other day who was breastfeeding through the day and then formula at night as it gave her some rest from the breast and she said it worked perfectly so I can imagine expressed through the day and then formula at night would do the same. I breastfeed and then do formula top ups and have had 1 night where he only had formula overnight and he's perfectly fine with it, doesn't seem to know and/or care haha. I'd be inclined to give it a go and see if it works ☺️ best of luck x
