Weaning

I have ADHD and I’m struggling with weaning it’s overwhelming how many foods there are. I also forget to eat myself so forget to try my baby with foods some days. He’s just turned six months old. How do you remember if you’re in a similar situation?. Also I eat the same safe foods everyday, so coming up with meals for my baby is quite hard for me.

You could try this app called Solid Starts and put an alarm for 12pm for Solids every day. Also, if you have a note pad, write on the foods you have tried and how the baby responds to it. Makes it easier to keep track of. Lastly, make a bunch of purees at time when you get in your hyper phase and freeze them. I made butternut squash , Apple sauce , potatoes, and Peas, etc, and put them in the freeze and fed my baby the same food for 3-4 days. And switched it up after

you don't have to do a new food every single time you feed them. you can also just feed them what you eat, within reason! at six months they don't need full meals.

I also have ADHD and felt the exact same! I used solid starts to track what I’d given her before and what she’d liked/ disliked etc and then used Pinterest for meal plan ideas and it helped take a lot of the stress off of me

So this is what I’m feeling! I couldn’t put it into words but yes I’m overwhelmed with trying to give my girl food! It’s not the act of feeding her that overwhelms me it’s making sure that I’m giving her different things. Also, the idea that in the future, I’m gonna have to come up with meals when I can barely come up with meals for myself.
