Wash my scar with shower gel or soap

I just let the soapy water I used on the rest of my body rinse down and made sure to gently pat the incision area completely dry after showering

My OB had told me to shower with any soap/gel, just important to wash it everyday + rinse it correctly I was personally using my baby soap 🤣 because I thought it was gentle indeed as good for baby

I’m also a month postpartum. I’ve just been letting the water and soap run over it. Finally yesterday I used some of the suds and wipes over it with my hand. I still have a lot of sticky residue from my steri strips I’ve been trying to get off.

I’ve been using soap on mine since about week 2, letting soapy water run over it wasn’t cleaning it well enough in my opinion. I’ve not had any issues with it.

My provider had me start using soap on my incision pretty immediately. If the incision is closed you can wash it with whatever you want.
