?pre eclampsia

So currently 32 weeks and I was seen last week on the assessment unit as BP was around 138/86(ish) and HR was 147 and later discharged. Yesterday at my growth scan it was 140/90 exactly and when rechecked was 137/88 so they just said the midwife would come out and re check Monday. Had severe headache this morning so went to the assessment unit, BP was normal but did have 1+ protein in urine so now have to have BP and urine check twice a week. They’ve sent bloods off this morning which I assume were normal as they said they would call if there was any issues. Does this sound like pre eclampsia developing?

I’d stay vigilant and keep on top of checks with your doctor. If you notice any issues with your vision or “floaters” then make sure to call your doctor ASAP. There are a lot of other symptoms that may or may not appear, like fluid retention, swelling in hands and face, and a common symptom is nausea and vomiting. In case you are worrying, I was diagnosed with severe pre-eclampsia at 24 weeks, my daughter was born perfectly healthy at 27+3 and is now 13 months old (10 months corrected) so even if you have an early delivery it doesn’t mean things won’t turn out alright. Keeping fingers crossed for you.
