Feeling lost with prenatal care and hospitals
I really don’t remember how I chose the birthing hospital for my first. It was at a military hospital and I remember I had a civilian obgyn. This time I have both a civilian doctor and obgyn. But idk what hospitals work with my obgyn as I just got the referral today. (Switching from my current insurance to Tricare). I’m not sure if I can use the military hospital again with or without a referral from my civilian obgyn. I don’t remember how I did it last time. Does anyone have any info?

Most OBs have a hospital or hospitals that they work with so I would just ask them!

We just contacted the hospital we wanted and they got us in. My obgyn is located in the hospital. Didn’t need a referral. I would just contact the hospital and see if they accept your insurance and if you need a referral or not!
