Birth certificate

Hi Guys, So my BD for the last few weeks has been on my case about opening a bank account for my LO which i have been in the process of trying to do but as we all know life also happens as single parents! He has now asked if he is able to have a copy of the birth certificate at some point. In my opinion i’d prefer if he didn’t which i have stated, as i’m not sure how he’d use it without my consent in the future. Do i give him a copy?? Is he able to apply for a copy?? helppp
